The Milwaukee Bucks have been a major disappointment this year, and many experts are pointing to the fact that head coach Jason Kidd is the main culprit. However, Charles Barkley is not convinced that Kidd’s failure to win is the sole reason that the Bucks have been terrible, and he recently made a bold (and frankly, absurd) guarantee that the Bucks will qualify for the playoffs this year.
Charles Barkley, the former NBA great and current TNT analyst, recently said that he doesn’t think the Bucks will win. He had this to say: “I don’t think Milwaukee’s gonna win. I think they’ll be better than everybody else, they’ll be above the 9th spot, but they’re not gonna win the championship.”It’s still not about saying there are three good things in life. Death and taxes will always exist, but it’s not right to call Charles Barkley a guru as an analyst at Inside the NBA. But he’s been wrong often enough that the Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns are legitimately concerned and want Barkley to look the other way.
Seriously, by Barkley’s low standards, he was on a roll this postseason. But his latest guarantee might be a wake-up call for one of the teams that will be there on the 6th. The NBA Finals begin in July.
Who did he choose? First, let’s see where Charles Barkley has gone wrong over the years.
Charles Barkley, known for his inaccurate guarantees, has been more accurate with his guarantees (40.0%) than Ben Simmons has been with his free throws in these playoffs (34.2%).

Charles Barkley has been doing well with his predictions lately, making it to the final five. They all took place during the Eastern Conference Finals between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Atlanta Hawks. Chuck correctly assessed the Bucs in games 2, 3, 5 and 6. He also correctly identified the winner of Game 4, the Hawks.
Of course, he had previously used only 5 of his 20 non-guarantees in the 2021 postseason. However, Barkley wasn’t wrong with some of his predictions for the season when he said the Hawks, as well as the Washington Wizards, would return to the playoffs this year. Washington won its second playoff game and finished eighth. Atlanta was the fifth-ranked team in the East and, against all odds, found itself in the Congressional finals.
But despite his current good run, he’s just 10 for 25 in this season. Not to be too specific, but if he messes with the wrong people, maybe he should protect his kneecaps. No reason.
Charles Barkley was the captain of the Phoenix Suns the last time that team played in the NBA Finals. It was 1993, and Barkley had supplanted Michael Jordan as NBA MVP. Jordan got his revenge by leading the Chicago Bulls in six games against the Suns.
He has made it clear that he wants to compete with Phoenix. But he moves to the Milwaukee Bucks. Not that Barkley was all over them during the playoffs.
Maybe Barkley plays three-dimensional chess while the rest of us play checkers. While he had the Suns beat the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round, Chuck saw the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Clippers win in the next rounds against Phoenix. The Suns are still in the NBA Finals.
Reverse psychology or blind luck? It is purely a matter of opinion at this point.

Charles Barkley’s 40% in the playoffs this year really seems like the year of his career. During last year’s playoffs, a September broadcast of Inside the NBA featured a sadstory for Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals.
In his entire TNT career, Barkley has been right with his predictions 13.7% of the time. That’s even worse than his 26.6% career 3-point percentage. But as with his predictions, earning many miles for frequent failures didn’t stop him from shooting again. Barkley has made over 2,000 three-pointers in his career.
The Milwaukee Bucks, on the other hand, may see it differently. First, they may be afraid of being cursed for supporting Charles Barkley. This guy is usually wrong. Second, the Bucks can use it as fuel, as display material. Something about showing him that he’s… um… Good! Approach. Or 3 : Milwaukee can play and let the basketball run its course.
In the end, it is always the third option that prevails.
