The #Narrative has been on a rampage lately. It seems that every time a player has the ability to be franchise-altering, he’s traded before the trade deadline. The latest trade deadline victim is Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard, who has expressed interest in being traded to another team.

The Portland Trail Blazers are currently not a good basketball team. They’re not even a good professional basketball team. They’re a bad basketball team, a bad professional basketball team, and they might end up being a bad professional basketball team for a while. In the last week, we’ve seen a lot of videos that show Damian Lillard looking extremely frustrated with the team’s lack of effort. I’m not here to claim the Blazers GM has lost the team’s locker room, but I am here to tell you that I understand why Lillard would be upset.

After finishing up his contract with the Trail Blazers, Portland’s point guard turned down a four-year, $80 million extension from the franchise. He claimed to be taking a “hometown discount” and intended to “fight” for his “rights” as a star player. It was the same story last summer when he declined a five-year, $80 million extension to stay with the team. There was a lot of speculation that Lillard would want a trade this summer, but his agent denied the rumors.. Read more about where is damian lillard from and let us know what you think.

Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers is fed up with others speaking for him and inventing trade rumors out of thin air.

This summer, Dame’s future with the Trail Blazers has been clear. Despite reports that Lillard might seek a trade this summer, the six-time All-NBA point guard emphasized that he was not seeking a trade. Despite this, one NBA “insider” continues to promote the idea that Lillard wants to leave Portland.

Lillard’s current goal is to assist Team USA in winning the gold medal in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He did, however, find time to knock down the newest insider claim.

Damian Lillard is reportedly planning to seek a trade, according to a True Hoop reporter.

“Sources indicate Damian Lillard is ready to forego salary to join a championship squad if necessary.”

July 27, 2021 — Henry Abbott (@TrueHoop)

Henry Abbott of True Hoop has an agenda, right? It’s beginning to seem like that’s the case.

With an early story for True Hoop on July 16, Abbott was one of the first writers to start off the excitement around a possible Lillard trade request. After a Team USA practice, the story created quite a commotion, forcing Lillard to confront his future.

The Blazers, according to the 31-year-old, need to do something to move beyond their postseason defeats and become more competitive. Despite this, he said that no trade request was in the works.

Abbott, on the other hand, isn’t going to give up. He said Lillard informed Olympic teammates on Tuesday that he was still debating a possible trade demand and that he may forego game checks. Lillard’s trade request would be imminent if the Blazers failed to offer him an acceptable summer plan, according to Abbott.

Lillard made a point of publicly refuting the reports once again.

Abbott’s recent report was slammed by Lillard.

There’s just one emoji. That was all Lillard needed to disprove Abbott’s claim and, hopefully, put a stop to the insanity.

Following Team USA’s victory against Iran in Tokyo, Lillard took to Twitter on Wednesday morning to address the allegations. He just tweeted Abbott’s newest report with the symbol “facepalm.” But that wasn’t the end of it.

CJ McCollum, a Blazers teammate, felt compelled to add his two cents. He quoted Lillard’s reaction to the rumors on Twitter and even appeared to mock Abbott, leading Lillard to remark, “It’s getting out of hand.”

When Lillard has repeatedly rejected trade rumors, one has to question where Abbott gets his information. Dame isn’t hiding his dissatisfaction, either.

Lillard is always open and honest about his views and drive to win. Why would he feel compelled to spread rumors about giving up game checks and placing a percentage on a trade request, as Abbott claimed?

Lillard will almost certainly be the first to request a trade.

Damian Lillard expresses himself once again. Whether on Twitter or in the press, he has always done so. If he wants to leave Portland, he’ll probably say so.

Is his new rejection of Abbott’s claim a guarantee that he will play for the Blazers in 2021-22? Certainly not. It’s conceivable that Portland’s inability to improve its squad and freshen things up pushes Lillard’s hand.

It’s that time of year, however, when NBA writers love to make stuff up out of thin air. Lillard is able to see through the haze.

Reggie Miller has said that he would trade these two Lakers for CJ McCollum.
