Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid is leaving the team and he had one parting shot before officially signing with another squad. The move to leave Philly saw Ben Simmons saying goodbye, but that didn’t stop Embiid from taking a dig at his former teammate

The “where is ben simmons from” is a question that many people are asking following the news of Joel Embiid firing a parting shot at Ben Simmons on his way out the door.

Joel Embiid Fires a Ruthless Parting Shot at Ben Simmons on His Way Out the Door

Joel Embiid was rooting the hardest for a Ben Simmons trade to be completed before the NBA trade deadline. Throughout the summer and early in the season, the Philadelphia 76ers big man became more upset with Simmons’ antics, and he simply wanted the nightmare to stop.

Embiid achieved his desire a couple hours before the clock hit zero. And the superstar center, in his first public remarks since the Simmons-James Harden deal, took one more dig at his old pal.

Joel Embiid’s misery has come to an end.

Embiid is a straightforward individual. He’ll work his tail off every day to achieve his ultimate objective of winning a championship, and he expects the same from his teammates and coaches.

Isn’t it not a reasonable request?

But it was for Simmons. After the first hint of hardship, the point guard abruptly left the 76ers, and Embiid struggled to control his rage. When Simmons arrived at training camp and sat through practice exercises in an obvious effort to avoid paying penalties, Embiid wasn’t shy in his criticism, and he’s been quietly hammering him ever since.

Embiid knew Simmons had to depart if the Sixers were going to compete for a championship this season, and he got his wish at the NBA trade deadline.

The 76ers dealt Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond, and two first-round selections to the Brooklyn Nets for Harden and Paul Millsap on Thursday afternoon.

After Philadelphia’s triumph against the Oklahoma City Thunder the next night, Embiid was questioned about the dramatic cloud that had been hovering over the team.

According to ESPN, Embiid told reporters Friday night, “I’m delighted that I’m not going to be answering any more questions regarding that issue.” “It’s beneficial not just to myself, but also to my colleagues and the whole company.” The entire thing was somewhat irritating during the year, but I’m pleased that everyone has moved on.

“I wish everyone the best in whatever they want to do, but my emphasis right now is on winning games and trying to win a championship.”

He didn’t stop there, however.

Ben Simmons is dealt a harsh parting blow by Embiid.

Embiid, at the conclusion of his time with Simmons: “It’s terrible how things turned out… We were dominating throughout the regular season. So it’s a shame that winning wasn’t the most important element.”

Embiid is reportedly responding to suggestions that Simmons wants a team constructed around him.

With Simmons as his No. 2, Embiid has always believed he could win a championship. With both players in the lineup, the Sixers were a great regular-season club, but they couldn’t make it work in the playoffs.

Embiid, on the other hand, is overjoyed to be free of Simmons.

“I honestly don’t care,” Embiid said. “Like I’ve always said, it’s terrible how things turned out, because if you look at our history, we didn’t get it done in the playoffs, but if you look at our history on the court, we were dominating in the regular season.”

“It’s regrettable, therefore, that winning was not the most important aspect. It’s really bad that having his own squad and being the star were more important to him. But I’ve always believed that everything was perfect, that the fit was perfect. Ben, on the other hand, believed it wasn’t. “However, we all go on.”

Now is the time to mark March 10 on your calendar. In their first meeting as rivals, Embiid isn’t going to be kind with his former teammate.

I’m looking forward to a new era in Philadelphia.

Embiid should be relieved that Simmons is no longer with the Sixers, but he should be even happier that Harden has taken his place. The Sixers are suddenly serious championship contenders in 2022, and Embiid is well aware of this.

Embiid said of the move, “It was just a lot of enthusiasm.” “I’m just ecstatic.” Based on what he’s achieved in his career so far, [Harden] is definitely going to be the best of the people I’ve played with.

“So it’s just a matter of getting everyone on the same page and figuring out how to play the game properly.” We already have a system in place, so all we have to do now is bring him along and integrate a lot of new stuff with a bunch of things he already knows how to do and put it all together.”

The fresh new appearance The 76ers have barely two months to gel before the playoffs begins, but Las Vegas believes they will be able to do it. Philadelphia’s championship chances jumped from +1300 to +700 nearly immediately after the move.

The Embiid-Harden pairing has become one of the league’s most feared, and the Sixers have officially reached championship-or-bust zone.
