The “jordan davis mock draft 2022” is a blog about the best athletes in the 2022 NFL Draft. The article includes some of the top players, as well as their strengths and weaknesses.

Jordan Davis, Evan Neal, and the Best Athletes in the 2022 NFL Draft

Being a fantastic athlete does not guarantee that you will be a fantastic NFL football player. That being said, numerous players in the 2022 NFL Draft have dominating athletic ability that should transition to the professional level.

These guys are unquestionably the finest overall athletes going to join the NFL, whether it’s because of their strength, speed, agility, or a combination of all three.

Michigan State running back Kenneth Walker III

Let’s give Kenneth Walker III a pat on the back. He didn’t make it to New York as a finalist for the Heisman Trophy in 2021, but he deserved to be there.

Walker went from Wake Forest to Michigan State for his junior season and dominated the Big Ten. He controlled everybody who stood in his way, to be honest.

He had a total of 263 carries for 1,636 yards and 18 touchdowns in 2021, averaging an amazing 6.2 yards per run.

When he discovers a weakness in the defense, he’s a force to be reckoned with. He’s also just a gamer, plain and simple. In 2021, he carried for more than 200 yards in two games. In a big victory against MSU’s arch-rival, the Michigan Wolverines, he threw for 197 yards and five touchdowns.

At the NFL Combine, Walker recorded a 4.38 40-yard dash, which was the fourth-best time among running backs and the 23rd-best time among all athletes.

Not bad for a person who checks into a stout establishment. 5’10” and 210 lbs.

Alabama offensive tackle Evan Neal

Alabama’s Evan Neal is a unique kind of athlete. The Crimson Tide and Nick Saban know how to prepare football players for the NFL, and Neal is the latest in a long line of potential superstars to emerge from Tuscaloosa.

He is 6-foot-7 and weighs 350 pounds, making him an excellent offensive lineman, let alone an offensive tackle.

The problem is, Neal didn’t even attend the NFL Scouting Combine. He conducted interviews, but all he had to do was show up in a t-shirt and prove to the league that despite being over 300 pounds, he looked like a modern-day Hercules.

Neal is set to compete in Alabama’s Pro Day on March 30th. If he shows up and demonstrates his outstanding athleticism, he has a decent chance of being selected first overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars on April 29th.

Georgia’s Travon Walker is a defensive end.

Travon Walker of Georgia had a big influence on his draft prospects at the 2022 NFL Combine.

The Bulldogs dominated the competition as a whole. Multiple Georgia players came up to the combine, fresh off an NCAA Championship win over Alabama, and demonstrated why Georgia won that game. Even when compared to the Crimson Tide, the Bulldogs possessed exceptional athleticism and skill on the field.

Walker, a true junior at Georgia, with 19 tackles and six sacks as a true junior in 2021. Three of the tackles and one of the sacks occurred against Alabama in the National Championship game. He added two more tackles and a sack versus Michigan in the CFP Semifinal at the Capital One Orange Bowl, demonstrating his ability to perform in big times.

Walker measured 6-foot-5 and weighed 272 pounds at the NFL combine, and he won the workouts. He ran a 4.51 40-yard sprint, which was the third-best time among defensive ends and the best time among guys who may go in the first round theoretically.

Consider the fact that Aidan Hutchinson of Michigan, who many predict will be the No. 1 overall choice, did a 4.74 40-yard sprint. Kayvon Thibodeaux of Oregon, who has a chance to finish first overall, ran a 4.58.

Behind Hutchinson, Walker had the second-best three-cone drill time (6.89 seconds) (6.73 seconds). In the 20-yard shuttle exercise, he finished among the top four defensive ends, demonstrating that he is unquestionably one of the finest quick-twitch athletes in this class.

Georiga’s Jordan Davis, Defensive Tackle

Jordan Davis, a 6-foot-6, 341-pound Georgia teammate, ran a 4.78 40.

Nothing more needs to be needed to demonstrate that he is one of the most impressive athletes to emerge from the draft in a long time.

Davis, despite his bulk, is still a sideline-to-sideline athlete. Even at the NFL level, he’ll be continually double-teamed, but he possesses the speed and agility to shoot the gap, get into the backfield, and create plays. He’s even capable of running out into broad space in pursuit of the ball carrier.

At his stature, it’s nearly unnatural, yet he manages to pull it off.

Davis’ 40-yard sprint at the NFL combine was second only to teammate Devonte Wyatt, who also earns a position on this list with a 4.77 40 at 6-foot-3, 304 pounds.

Davis’ size used to be employed as nose tackles and gap-pluggers by defensive tackles. Their only purpose was to occupy space and blockers so that the linebackers in front of them could make all of the tackles.

That was not the case with Davis at Georgia, and it is unlikely to be the case with an NFL franchise.

ESPN and Pro Football Reference provided the statistics. Spotrac provides contract information.
