In case you weren’t aware, Kareem Hunt was arrested this week on charges of aggravated robbery. He’s being accused of taking $1,500 from a man in Kansas City in January. The crime took place after a fight broke out with police in the parking lot of a hotel. Hunt was released on bail and has not been charged with a crime. He’s since taken an indefinite leave of absence from the Kansas City Chiefs, who issued a statement saying: “We are extremely disappointed to learn of the allegations surrounding Mr. Hunt. We take these allegations very seriously and are fully supportive of the Chiefs’ decision to release him.”

If you run the “Worst Nightmare” play in Madden, the execution that makes it the worst is the defense shredding through it like a buzzsaw. This play is designed to get the defense to jump offsides, which is why the Chiefs like to run it on first down when they have great field position. That is why Kareem Hunt’s lofty goal of having the highest rushing total in the NFL this season is so dangerous. The Chiefs are already one of the worst defenses in the league, and if you can get them to bite on the surprise formation, they will rip it up like a cardboard cutout.

The Kansas City Chiefs have made a lot of offseason moves to help their offense this year, but none are bigger than what they did to acquire running back Kareem Hunt. After the league suspended him for the first four games of the season for violating the league’s policy on substances of abuse, the Chiefs traded up to select him with the No. 29 pick in the NFL Draft.. This statement, which has been mostly joked about for the past two decades, is now 100% true: The Cleveland Browns are dangerous. With the play of Baker Mayfield and running backs Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb, Cleveland might have the most balanced offense in football in 2021, which could lead to a big season and a deep playoff run.

But as the 2021 season approaches, Hunt recently spoke about the Browns’ rather lofty goal for the upcoming campaign. If he succeeds, he will eventually help Cleveland become the AFC’s worst nightmare.

Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb helped the Browns reach the playoffs in 2020

It’s been 18 years since the Browns made the playoffs and 26 years since they made the playoffs.

In 2020, the situation has changed.

While Baker Mayfield limited mistakes, the Browns’ running game took them to the postseason. Chubb has scored 1,067 yards and 12 touchdowns in just 12 games. Hunt, meanwhile, amassed 1,145 yards on the ground and 11 touchdowns on the ground and receiving.

In total, Hunt and Chubb accounted for about 40% of all the Browns’ yards in 2020. Their performance helped Cleveland go 11-5 and make the playoffs.

Last season, Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb could not achieve the same result for the Browns. While both have scored over 1,000 yards from the field, only Chubb has scored over 1,000 yards rushing. Hunt scored 841 yards on the ground.

Still, it’s entirely possible that both will reach the 1,000-yard mark in 2021, especially with an additional game on the schedule this season.

Hunt thinks that could happen too.

I thought it was possible last year, but some things happened, Hunt told recently at his youth football camp, according to ProFootballTalk. We will learn from this, improve and hopefully succeed this year.

It certainly won’t hamper the major targets of attack in general.

Whatever Coach Kevin Stefanski says, Nick or I will do, Hunt said, according to ProFootballTalk. So if we’re both on the field at the same time, we’re both on the field at the same time. We’ll find a way and get the job done. That’s the way to look at it. Whether we’re on the field together or not, we’ll find a way to get the job done.

Browns offense could be AFC’s worst nightmare

Hunt and Chubb’s 1,000-yard rushing goal could turn into the AFC’s worst nightmare.

Their success on the field opened up opportunities for Mayfield and his teammates last season, leading the team to score 25.5 points per game. If Hunt and Chubb run the ball even more effectively in 2021, not only will the Browns score more points, but Mayfield will have more opportunities to succeed in the game, which in turn will help the entire offense.

Cleveland’s offense proved to be a force to be reckoned with last season. After beating the Pittsburgh Steelers by nearly 50 points (48-37) in the playoff round, the Browns face the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round. Fortunately for them, they have almost every part of the 2020 offense back next season.

Mayfield, Chubb, Hunt, Jarvis Landry and Austin Hooper are back, and the entire offensive line returns, including left guard Joel Bitonio and right guard Jack Conklin. But the Browns will also be back there after the injury to Odell Beckham Jr. He could well benefit directly from Chubb and Hunt’s success on the ground, and they could also benefit from his success in the passing game.

If they all stay healthy, Cleveland’s offense could be nearly unstoppable in 2021.

Last season, the Browns showed how dangerous they can get. Another year of experience in second-year head coach Kevin Stefanski’s system and the return of Beckham could make the Browns the AFC’s worst nightmare in 2021.

But this offensive success begins and ends with the run game.
