Kyrie Irving’s game against the Grizzlies in his season debut was impressive. He scored 30 points on just 7 shots, and had 10 assists (of which 5 came from LeBron James). With Kyrie healthy, it’ll be interesting to see what he can do for the Celtics this year.

Kyrie Irving’s impressive season debut was overshadowed by the most unlikely 30-point game in the NBA all season. The Celtics point guard scored 11 points in just over three minutes to tie a franchise record and help Boston beat the Philadelphia 76ers, 105-103. Read more in detail here: kyrie irving position.

Kyrie Irving's Impressive Season Debut Was Overshadowed by the Most Unlikely 30-Point Game in the NBA All Season

For the first time this season, Kyrie Irving was on the floor for the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night, and he looked everything like himself in the 129-121 victory against the Indiana Pacers. Irving’s 22-point debut was the high point of the night for the Nets, but it was overshadowed by Lance Stephenson’s most unexpected 30-point outburst of the season.

Irving made his season debut Wednesday night after missing the first 35 games of the season due to his choice to stay immunized against COVID-19. He struggled to shake off some rust early on, missing his first few shot attempts and going scoreless in the first quarter.

However, after he watched one go in, the floodgates opened.

In 32 minutes of play, Irving ended with 22 points, four assists, three rebounds, and three steals. In the second half, he also hit a couple of critical shots to help the Nets overcome a 19-point deficit and win on the road.

Kevin Durant, who scored 39 points in the game, was overjoyed to see his colleague return.

According to ESPN, Durant remarked after the game, “It was fantastic to see him out there.” “I just missed his presence in the locker room, his enthusiasm, and his team’s aura.” Then there’s his game, which is just phenomenal. It makes the game a whole lot simpler for everyone. It was incredible to see him on the dance floor again.”

Irving will still be unable to play in home games due to the vaccination requirement in New York City, but he should provide a much-needed lift for Brooklyn on the road for the remainder of the season.

Irving’s debut is overshadowed by Lance Stephenson.

We’ve just watched the NBA season’s most unbelievable scorcher. In SIX minutes of play, Lance Stephenson scores his 20th point of the quarter at the buzzer. incredible.

All eyes were on Irving for his highly anticipated season debut on Wednesday night, but Stephenson stole the show with an incredible shooting performance in just his third game with the Pacers this season.

Over the weekend, Stephenson signed a 10-day hardship agreement with his former squad. After scoring only six and five points in his previous two Indiana visits, the 31-year-old scored 30 points on 12-for-19 shooting and 4-for-8 from beyond the arc. Surprisingly, 20 of the 30 points were scored in a six-minute span in the first quarter. To top off his outstanding start to the game, he drained a step-back three at the buzzer.

Stephenson had 22 points in his first eight games with the Indiana Pacers and Atlanta Hawks this season. On Wednesday, he came close to matching it in one quarter.

The Pacers must provide something to rejoice about for their supporters.

Before Wednesday, Stephenson’s last home game in Indiana was back in 2018. Since then, he’s spent time with the Liaoning Flying Leopards of the Chinese Basketball Association and the Grand Rapids Gold of the NBA G League, as well as one season with the Los Angeles Lakers. This Thursday, the feisty guard came home and seemed to be back to his old self. And the audience couldn’t get enough of it.

“I feel like I just get my abilities as soon as I put that jersey on,” Stephenson remarked after the game. “I’m not sure what that is.” Man, every time I put that shirt on, I simply feel at ease. And it makes the game easier when you’re playing in front of people who are excited for you to play and are encouraging you.”

Why keep Stephenson around for the remainder of the season and give the fans something to shout about if the Pacers aren’t going to make the playoffs?
