So, how do his closest friends and family feel about his imminent free agency in 2023?

This season, the Cavaliers have finally found success without LeBron James. The Cavs have been one of the hottest young teams in the NBA this year, thanks to the outstanding performance of Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen, and Evan Mobley, while James’ Lakers have been one of the most disappointing.
At the All-Star break, Cleveland was fourth in the Eastern Conference with a 35-23 record, while the Lakers were tenth in the West with a 27-31 record.
So, with the NBA All-Star Game taking place in The Land last weekend, James was asked about returning to the Cavs, the club with whom he played 11 seasons between 2004 and 2010, as well as 2015–2018.
“The door isn’t shut on that,” James told Jason Lloyd of The Athletic. “I’m not saying I’m going to come back and play; I’m not sure.” I’m not sure what the future holds for me. I have no idea when I’ll be free.”
Those comments went viral on the internet, and they’ve been discussed on every sports talk program for the last week.

Savannah went to Instagram to share a photo of their home state with a star in Akron’s location after the James family returned to Ohio after spending four years in Florida during LeBron’s time with the Miami Heat.
“My house, my home!! “The countdown has begun,” said the caption.
As pointed out by the famous Cleveland super fan, Chris McNeil, Savannah recently shared a similar post after LeBron’s Cavs comments. We couldn’t link to it directly because she put it on her Instagram story, which expires after 24 hours, but she recently shared a photo of Akron and wrote, “There’s no place like home.”
Is there any significance to this? It’s difficult to say. Maybe she simply wanted to spend All-Star Weekend with LeBron and his family. Her spouse, on the other hand, does not make errors. He’s well aware that everyone reads what he says, and she’s presumably well aware of it as well.
Savannah may have just been expressing her affection for her city. Or she may have been deliberately inflaming Cavs rumors.

Whatever team LeBron James decides to play for in 2023-24, his family will almost certainly be a factor in his choice.
Bronny will be a senior that year, while his children are still in school. It may be difficult to relocate them, but they are acquainted with Cleveland and have relatives there. As of 2020, LeBron’s mother, Gloria, was still living in Ohio (h/t Sports Illustrated), thus he may want to move closer to her.
Alternatively, they might opt to remain in Los Angeles, their new home for the last four years.
Cleveland and Los Angeles aren’t the only alternatives, however. Many clubs will certainly want to sign LeBron in 2023, and if his family is on board, he might very possibly leave.
Overall, LeBron James’ future remains a mystery. Savannah’s latest Instagram post has just added to the intrigue.
