Square Enix announced Monark, a brand new RPG from the SMT Devil Survivor team. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, Monark will release on the smartphones in Japan next year.

The last time we heard anything about Monark, it was in the form of a rumor from Japanese magazine Famitsu, and the report suggested that the game would be released in 2018. Now, we hear that the game is really happening, and while there is no firm release date for now, it will be out sometime next year.

SMT games are known for their difficulty, but Monark, a game currently under development, aims to be the next evolution of the series—it’s a PS4 RPG that’s still in early development, but the developers at Spike Chunsoft, the studio behind the Ace Attorney series, are aiming to release the game sometime in 2018.. word-image-5887 The former developers ofShin Megami Tensei are developing a new RPG calledMonark, and NIS America has announced the localization ofMonark and a western release date of early 2022. Monark will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC. The plot ofMonark is set in a school and seems more than slightly based onPersona. The school goes crazy when a strange fog envelops it, and the hero finds himself in a parallel universe full of demons – sorry, demons – that he can control with his thoughts. The evolution of your self and its many aspects affects which demons can join you and how they evolve, as well as your relationships with your fellowMonark. Monark has different endings depending on how you interact with your four main companions (courtesy of Gematsu), though it’s still unclear what role they play in the final battle against the mysterious Covenant Bearers who are causing the fog. The idea of madness is not just a text of taste. You can use madness to improve your skills, but if you go too far, the main character will start to scaffold and attack his allies. NIS America has opened a pre-order for a special edition ofMonark , which includes the soundtrack, artbook, poster and more for $99.99.The official Japanese website for Monark has launched, and it reveals a few details about the upcoming RPG, including the fact that it will use the Shin Megami Tensei franchise’s usual turn-based battle system..
