After being traded to the New York Mets in a blockbuster deal last week, Wheeler has been touted as one of the best individual teammates. The Yankees are now left with Aroldis Chapman and Zach Britton while they try to resign J.A Happ or trade for another starter this offseason.

“examples of great teammates” are players who can help their team win even when they are not the best player on the court. The examples include LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and Michael Jordan.

‘One of the Best Individual Teammates’

Whether you think Tom Brady is the GOAT or not, there’s no denying that he’s one of sports’ greatest victors. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback has a commanding presence, yet his teammates seem to like playing with him. James Harrison, a former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker, reflected on his short time as Brady’s teammate and said he enjoyed every minute of it.

James Harrison only stayed in New England for one season.

The Pittsburgh Steelers were James Harrison’s team for the most of his 15-year NFL career. The former outside linebacker earned a reputation as one of the franchise’s most feared defensive players.

Harrison signed a one-year deal with the New England Patriots towards the conclusion of the 2017 season after his second tenure with the Steelers expired.

Although the five-time Pro Bowler only appeared in one regular-season game with the Patriots, he left an impression. In Week 17, Harrison had five tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble against the New York Jets.

Harrison also appeared in all three of New England’s postseason games. He has eight tackles and three quarterback hits in the playoffs.

The Akron, Ohio native’s time with the Patriots was brief, but he did manage to make it to the Super Bowl.

Tom Brady’s leadership has been complimented by the former Steelers linebacker.

Despite spending less time with Tom Brady than he did with Ben Roethlisberger, James Harrison learned a lot about the player and the guy.

On The Rich Eisen Show, the two-time All-Pro linebacker explained what it was like to play alongside TB12 during the playoff run.

Brady was described by Harrison as a “very wonderful man.” “I’d say he’s one of the finest individual teammates I’ve ever had.” Just his friendliness and real concern for the person rather than the player. As if you don’t know who he is, he announces himself to everyone.”

The 15-time Pro Bowl quarterback is also the greatest leader, according to Harrison.

“When it’s time to go outdoors and it’s 15 degrees outside, he says, ‘Yo, let’s go.’ Let’s get this party started.’ It’s not like I’m complaining. I’ve never seen somebody with the same study habits as him. This guy takes up almost an entire notebook every game.”

Tom Brady, according to Jame Harrison, is unlike any other quarterback.

Brady’s winning attitude makes him more enjoyable to play with.

James Harrison’s claims about Tom Brady make perfect sense. To attain the sort of success that TB12 has had over the course of his 22-year NFL career, one must have a unique personality.

Brady is the king of competition. Over the years, his dedication and preparation have resulted in outstanding performance.

As a starter in the NFL, the 44-year-old signal-caller has a 240-73 record. He’s won seven Super Bowls in his career, six with the Patriots and one with the Buccaneers. The three-time league MVP has set the bar for how a quarterback should lead a club.

Brady’s love for the game hasn’t waned even after more than two decades in the NFL. His enthusiasm is contagious among his colleagues.

Who wouldn’t want to play beside Tom Brady? On the latter leg of his career, a player like James Harrison has no choice but to play alongside a proven winner.

TB12, like the Steelers’ great, is desperate to win but recognizes that he can’t accomplish it alone. That’s why he’s had so much success.
