The Green Bay Packers were moments away from giving up a 10 point lead in the fourth quarter of the NFC Championship game when Aaron Rodgers led them on an improbable comeback. This year, he is trying to bring home his first Super Bowl ring playing for another team after being traded

The Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers just narrowly avoided flirting with disaster. The game was tied at 24-24 when the Patriots got the ball back with 2:25 left in the game. After a first down, Brady threw an incomplete pass to Gronkowski on third down. On fourth down, Rodgers found Geronimo Allison for 19 yards to set up a game-winning field goal by Mason Crosby. Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback of the Green Bay Packers, has made a lot of off-field headlines in recent weeks.

Rodgers was unable to play in Green Bay’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs last weekend, a game that would have been exceedingly winnable had he been in the lineup. With backup quarterback Jordan Love at the wheel and three-time MVP Michael Vick watching on TV, the game ended in a 13-7 defeat.

Rodgers was forced to miss the game because to a positive COVID-19 test. According to NFL guidelines for unvaccinated athletes, he had to sit out at least 10 days. His immunization status was a complete surprise, which sparked a media frenzy. His later appearance on the Pat McAfee Show just added fuel to the flames.

Green Bay’s seven-game winning run came to an end with the defeat, but even more troubling for the Packers was Rodgers’ condition for this weekend’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.

That is no longer the case, according to reports.

The Green Bay Packers are slated to start Aaron Rodgers against the Seattle Seahawks.

According to reports, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has stayed asymptomatic from COVID-19 and has satisfied the NFL/NFLPA return-to-play criteria. All that remains is for the Packers to formally activate him today at 4 p.m. ET.

Rodgers’ availability for the Seattle game was uncertain due to a number of circumstances.

The first and most crucial requirement was that he remain asymptomatic after his 10-day confinement and, of course, no longer positive for the coronavirus. The quarterback and his teammates also had to evaluate his game fitness and whether or not his body would be ready to play after the sickness.

“I simply feel there’s a health barrier that I have to [pass] in terms of movement and sweating and getting into it, making sure my body, particularly my heart, is good with physical effort,” Rodgers stated on McAfee’s podcast.

Rodgers claimed he was practicing yoga and walking at the time of the interview, but he hadn’t yet put his total conditioning to the test, though he planned to do so this week. Even yet, the quarterback said that there was a “little chance” he wouldn’t be physically fit for the Seattle game.

That is no longer the case, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Rodgers is asymptomatic, according to him, and has completed all of the necessary steps to return to the field. Despite missing all of Green Bay’s practices this week, Rodgers is expected to start against Seattle, according to reports.

Rodgers is still part in Green Bay’s Seahawks preparations.

One would believe that head coach Matt LaFleur’s major issue is the game plan for this weekend and the fact that Rodgers hasn’t been with the club to prepare for the Seahawks.

The Seahawks aren’t quite back to their “Legion of Boom” glory days at 3-5, but Russell Wilson is ready to return from a finger injury and make his first start in weeks. The Hawks and Packers have had a long-standing rivalry that dates back many decades. Even though Green Bay has home-field advantage, an easy victory seems unlikely. The Packers are definitely the stronger club at 7-2, but in this sort of mid-season rivalry game, records may be tossed away.

The good news for Green Bay is that, even though Rodgers hasn’t been there, he has been involved in game preparation virtually.

‘Communication has always existed. He’s attended to all of the meetings. He’s been engaged for a while now. So it’s just that he’s not out on the field with his teammates. “You never know what’s going to happen,” LaFleur told ESPN. “But we’re lucky to have a guy with a lot of repetitions and a lot of ball under his belt, so we’re fairly confident that if he checks out well, he can go out there and play at a high level.”

Few quarterbacks in the NFL are capable of missing a week of practice before a game and still being a viable starter. Rodgers is on the list of candidates.

Green Bay just dodged a disaster by a hair’s breadth.

Green Bay was clearly the hottest club in the NFL before to their defeat to Kansas City. The Packers were coming off an incredible Thursday Night Football victory against the previously unbeaten Arizona Cardinals, in which Green Bay won despite losing a number of key players, including Davante Adams.

Despite dealing with injuries to key players throughout the season, the Packers have remained one of the best teams in the NFC. Rodgers’ absence from last week’s game was the first time we saw Green Bay’s depth challenged, and that’s because Love isn’t ready to take over for a quarterback who is playing at an MVP level.

That doesn’t rule out the possibility of him being Green Bay’s future quarterback. However, it does imply that there is a significant gap between him and Rodgers, which Green Bay felt against Kansas City.

Even against a mediocre Seahawks squad, a second consecutive game without Rodgers would have been a difficult scenario for the Packers. Green Bay has been planning on Rodgers starting all week, and despite the fact that he’s been receiving starter repetitions, Love hasn’t ruled out the possibility of No. 12 returning to rescue the day.

“It’s been a typical week for me, very much the same as last week in terms of getting all the reps.” Love stated via ESPN, “I’m just getting the game plan in, prepping like I’m going to play, and then obviously the idea is for Aaron to be back Saturday, so he’ll be going.” “But it’s the same for me.” We’ll continue to play for the rest of the week and then be ready for whatever comes our way.”

In a loaded NFC, every victory matters, making every defeat potentially devastating for the few clubs contending for home-field advantage.

Even with Wilson returned from injury, the Packers are favorites to win Seattle with Rodgers in the lineup.

The Packers would have had a toss-up with Love, and it may have meant the difference between getting back on track and going on a two-game losing streak.
