The Patriots’ star quarterback is about to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a team that just traded away their star wide receiver and needs help replacing his production. Tom Brady likely has some secret weapons up his sleeve to make more of those big plays against this struggling defense.
The “antonio brown tampa bay” is a secret weapon that the Buccaneers have to replace the production of Antonio Brown. The Patriots and Steelers are also looking into this option.
Anything is possible when Tom Brady is on your side. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in a fantastic place right now, with a 12-4 record and Brady playing MVP-caliber football going into the playoffs.
That isn’t to say that Tampa Bay isn’t grappling with its fair share of problems. With Chris Godwin’s season-ending knee injury and Antonio Brown’s abrupt departure from the club in Week 18, the Buccaneers’ once-heavy pass-catching corps is beginning to appear considerably sparse.

Godwin had become as Brady’s favorite offensive target before to his season-ending injury. He has 98 receptions for 1,103 yards and five scores on the season. It’s difficult to overstate how important he was to the Buccaneers’ offense. He’s not just a fantastic athlete, but his playstyle is a perfect complement for Brady’s.
Godwin liked to hover near the line of scrimmage for brief bursts of separation while also using a vertical concept to take the top off the defense.
Godwin suffered a significant setback. The Buccaneers, on the other hand, intended to replace him with Antonio Brown. Brown was a guy Brady had endorsed on many occasions, and the idea was that he would be able to step in and smoothly fill the vacuum left by Godwin.
Following Brown’s on-field brawl against the New York Jets this past weekend, such a move is clearly out of the question. Instead, the Buccaneers will have to find other ways to fill WR snaps.
The next guy up is Cyril Grayson.
In Godwin and Brown’s absence, Rob Gronkowski and Mike Evans will, unsurprisingly, shoulder the majority of the load. Brady and the Buccaneers, on the other hand, will need more output in other areas.
Here comes Cyril Grayson.
Grayson, a former All-American sprinter who entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2017, moved about for a few years before joining the Buccaneers. When he teamed up with Brady, his stats skyrocketed, as they usually do for NFL wide receivers.
Grayson has 10 receptions for 212 yards and two scores in 2021. His two most recent games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been spectacular, with 81 yards in each. When he was asked to fill in for Godwin and Brown, he stepped up to the plate.
Grayson isn’t a game-changer who can will the Buccaneers to victory in the playoffs. He is, however, certainly capable of making huge receptions and getting along with Tom Brady. Brady will take care of the rest as long as he runs the right routes and catches the ball.
Is it possible for Tom Brady and the Buccaneers to win it all this season?
It hurts to lose Godwin and Brown to a passing assault. There’s no avoiding it. Brady, Gronk, Evans, and even Grayson are under a lot of pressure because of their unavailability down the stretch.
Is there enough energy in Tampa Bay’s locker room to win another Super Bowl? Only time will tell whether this is true. It will most likely hinge on the ability of career backups like Grayson to step up this winter.

With Tua Tagovailoa and the Future of Their Offense, the Miami Dolphins are back to square one.
